This user-focused redesign promotes easy access to bidder/supplier accounts, certification profiles and state procurement information and opportunities.
Some of the exciting improvements include:

- Intuitive navigation to quick access links, upcoming bid opportunities and more

Another modernization on the newly updated Cal eProcure website is a customized, streamlined state of California UNSPSC listing. A major benefit of the update is new UNSPSC descriptions, which will allow Small Business and Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises to select codes for both bid notifications and their certification profiles that better match the codes that the state uses in solicitations. These expanded descriptions add context and provide a more intuitive way for suppliers and buyers to find each other.
What you will notice about the new list:
- An updated “Description” field that contains more context to better describe the selection option values.
- The new descriptions allow for a more succinct keyword searching. Users can search keyword categories such as “Office Supplies” or “Livestock” and find all values that fall under the larger category titles.
- Allows for more accurate matching potential between state buyers and the supplier community. The expanded descriptions add context so that both suppliers and state buyers both clearly understand what good or service the UNSPSC represents.
